LGBTQ+ Scientists and Allies Survey

Members of the LGBTQ+ Scientists and Allies specialty group of ASA, CSSA, and SSSA are conducting a survey about the professional experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies within the fields of agronomy, crop science, soil science, and related disciplines.

The survey, “Understanding LGBTQIA+ Experiences in Agronomy, Crop, and Soil Sciences and Related Disciplines for Greater Inclusivity,” should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participants must be 18+ years of age; in agronomy, crop science, and soil science or a related discipline; and identify as LGBTQIA+ or an ally. Responses will be kept confidential and de‐identified.

In the short term, we intend to share survey results with our professional communities to assist them in providing a more inclusive environment. In the medium term, we will present our results at conferences and will publish a peer‐reviewed manuscript detailing our findings.
