Breaking records and rebranding: Highlights from CANVAS 2024

CANVAS, formerly known as the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA International Annual Meeting, was a resounding success in November, setting new benchmarks and offering a plethora of enriching sessions and activities. The 2024 conference saw an impressive turnout of 4,128 attendees, surpassing last year's record of 4,110 in St. Louis. The growing interest and participation underscore the conference's significance in the scientific community.

Covering a wide range of topics and advancements in the field and emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in scientific discourse, the meeting continues to grow, share knowledge, and foster innovation.

  • 69 virtual presentation submissions

This hybrid approach allowed for greater flexibility and accessibility, enabling participants from around the globe to contribute and engage.

  • 13 hands-on workshops
  • 6 professional tours

These sessions were designed to enhance professional skills and networking opportunities among attendees.

One of the standout features of the 2024 conference was the rebranding of the event to CANVAS, where Crop, Agronomic, Environmental, and Soil Sciences Connect. This new identity reflects the dynamic and evolving nature of the conference, aiming to provide a broader and more inclusive platform for scientific exchange.
