What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?

The best piece of career advice I have received is do not be afraid to apply! Just by applying and putting myself out there I feel that it has allowed me opportunities to grow the most I can in the short amount of time I have been at my university. I grew up with three sisters and we are blessed to have a dad and grandpa that recognized our capabilities and believed we as young women can do just as much and the only thing that would limit us is our allowance to be limited. My grandpa is a cotton farmer, and my dad is a seed rep and they never looked at me differently or hesitated to teach me about their careers and that is something to celebrate. Women's History Month is special to me because it honors the capabilities and opportunities young women have in our industry that was previously male dominated.
